Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My dog can't be off leash - is this a problem?
A: Absolutely not! In fact, 90% of the dogs I photograph are safely kept on a leash. I am great at photoshopping out leashes. (Among other things.) See the image to the left.
Q: My Cat's kinda shy around strangers - will we be able to photograph him/her?
A: That's what my pre-session consult is for; I will come to your home and see what Whisker's is like; how he reacts to the camera, and me. If he won't come out from under the bed, we know he might not be a candidate for my photography. If he ends up coming out but is wary? We can work with that. It all depends on the cat. And I've been told a few times now that normally very shy animals are comfortable around me. So who knows!
Q: Can I/My kids be in the pictures, too?
Of course! In fact I try and include everyone in at least a few images; I can work with everyone; I know the ins and outs of making you look your best. You are part of your pet's family; right? I bet, if they could talk, they'd want you in the picture with them.
Q: What about bad weather?
I will be in contact with you days before the session and will be keeping an eye on things. In case of inclement weather (Too wet; Too Cold or even too hot) we will reschedule to the closest available date.
Q: I don't need all this fancy wall art - I just want digitals.
No problem! My pricing structure is set up per image - and you get a digital image with every print purchased. Or, you get a print with every digital image, however you want to look at it,
Q: I have a pet other than a horse/dog/cat. Will you photograph my bird/reptile/fish/pig/bunny/{insert animal here}?
Sure do! If they are near and dear to your heart; I'll be there to create beautiful artwork to celebrate them.
Q: Should I bathe/groom my dog/horse/cat before the photoshoot?
That's all up to you. I Don't recommend bathing your cat, however, haha. (Although, who knows, maybe your cat likes it?!) I will also be coaching you through all questions like these in our pre-session consult.
Q: Do you charge HST?
Yes. Everwood Photography is a legal business, and as such, I have to charge HST.
